"I eat right because I respect my body."
This is one of the quotes I listen to regularly to help keep myself thinking in the right direction. Several times in the past, when I was deep into my weight loss efforts, I can remember feeling sorry for myself because I perceived that I was "missing out on something" when I had to limit the amounts of certain foods I ate or even avoid certain foods. What exactly was I missing? Weight gain? A heart attack? Indigestion? High cholesterol? Diabetes? What was I missing? Well... if I don't eat well, I'm missing the chance to respect my body. I'm missing the chance to be healthy. I'm missing the chance to feel energized. Most of all, I'm missing the chance to reach my goals.
What food item is more important than that?
Can you name a food item that is more important than respecting your body and reaching your weight loss goals? I can't.

I couldnt agree with this more. I used to think food was so important. Then it was taken away from me and the lesson I learned was DANG lol I didnt need it to make me feel better. If we change our mind about food, food changes its priority and all of a sudden becomes just food again lol not friend.
Hope you have a WONDERFUL day!

I'm sooo with you. I had to learn that food was not my friend in the way that I was using it. I'm still learning to respect my body, but making much better choices! Have a great week!
I agree...great post!
